My new favorite blog: Thinking Outside the Inbox

If you haven't had a chance to read "Thinking Outside the Inbox," the excellent blog by Luis Suarez, you're really missing a great experience. Luis is a true pioneer in the post-email universe, and he makes a strong argument for the end of email as we know it. The logical replacement for email is, of course, social media. Luis, by the way, is a social media evangelist at IBM. So he really knows how to make the case for using social media in a corporate environment. When you need to start convincing your boss that social media is the way to go, Luis is an valuable resource. And he also posts wonderful photos of his home island, Gran Canaria. Hey, it's nice to work from a gorgeous remote location!

Just read your blog on "The Tipping Point." Your questions and answers are clearly stated, and especially for those of us who are not yet Mavens, you make the arcane knowable. Thank you!

18-year-old college freshman here--social media is definitely more useful than e-mail for me, especially when communicating private messages. I don't usually have friends' email addresses as readily as I have their facebook pages, and even if I do, I feel much surer that they're going to check facebook sooner. When I have quick questions about classwork facebook is really convenient and I can reach people much more quickly. No doubt this would work in a corporate environment too--especially as people my age enter the corporate world!

tl;dr -- I totally agree that social media > e-mail

Excellent points throughout. There's an almost palpable sense that email is nearing the end of its useful lifespan, and that it will soon exist, if at all, as little more than a quaint relic. As a medium for communication, it's all but hermetically sealed, connective in only the most limited and limiting ways and therefore doomed to extinction in the face of more multidimensional, vibrant alternatives.

Hi, I was thinking is there any way you could tell me where you got this theme?

This is a really cool website. Are you using Wordpress as your blogging platform? I ask that because your website looks a little different...

Hey people I was curious to know if one of you have any information on when the next update to blogengine will be? I am looking to try it out.
